The 2nd round of European Chess Championship wrapped up in Porto Carras, Greece. Azerbaijani men's team played with Armenia and won a landslide victory with a score of 3-1.
The first game between Teymur Rajabov and Levon Aronyan ended with a draw. The game ended on the 26th move. Shakhriyar Mammadyarov beat Vladimir Akopyan also on the 26th move during the second match.
Another victory for Azerbaijan came from Gadir Huseynov when he beat Gabriel Sarkisyan. Armenian chess player capitulated on the 45th move. Azerbaijani team completely took the lead after the victory of Vugar Hashimov over Sergey Movsesyan on the 53th move, with a final score of 3-1.
