Azerbaijani wrestler Nurmahammad Hajiyev has beaten Iran`s Amir Mohammadi 11-2 to claim gold in the men`s 97kg weight category at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku.

First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairperson of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva and her family members watched the final bout.

Kazakhstan`s Mamed Ibrahimov and Turkmenistan`s Yusup Mezhayev won bronze medals.

First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairperson of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva presented the medals to the wrestlers.

The ceremony featured the playing of the state anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the raising of the national flag for gold medal winner Hajiyev.
