A humanitarian campaign has been held at the Anjuman Suleymaniya orphanage and boarding school in Lahore, Pakistan with the support of Azerbaijan’s First Lady, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Dashgin Shikarov said such large-scale campaigns in the healthcare, educational and humanitarian fields were held in all provinces of Pakistan with the support of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.
He noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation had always paid attention to and cared about orphans.
On behalf of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ambassador presented gifts to children, and provided financial aid for reconstruction work in the Anjuman Suleymaniya orphanage and boarding school.
Vice-President of the boarding school Rauf Khalid Mustafa thanked the Azerbaijani First Lady for the humanitarian events carried out in Pakistan.
Executive Director of the school Shahida Riaz gave information on the activities of the Anjuman Suleymaniya, saying more than 100 pupils are studying at the school.
