On December 20th Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the ceremony to lay a foundation stone for a new kindergarten located here in front of the school named after Heydar Aliyev.
The facility will be built with funding of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Following the ceremony Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva met representatives of the Astrakhan branch of the Azerbaijani Youth Association of Russia (AMOR).
Chairman of the Astrakhan branch of the association Elvin Huseynov provided an insight into the activity of the youth organizations in Astrakhan.
He noted that the branch was named the best youth organization in the oblast by the Administration of the Governor.
Vice-President of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva then met with teachers and pupils of the school named after Heydar Aliyev.
School principal Tatiana Tikhomirova thanked Leyla Aliyeva for the Foundation’s attention to the school.
Addressing the event Mrs Leyla Aliyeva noted the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has already carried out several huge projects in Astrakhan.
She noted that the Foundation attaches great importance to developing education with a number of education projects delivered by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in many countries, including Russia.AzerTAc
Mrs Leyla Aliyeva also stressed the key role of the youth in the strengthening of bilateral bonds between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Gifts were presented to the school on behalf of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
