Participation of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the X summit of heads of the Turkish-speaking states in Istanbul and the Declaration signed with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on establishment of the Council for high level strategic cooperation, were in the center of attention of newspapers, television and news agencies of Turkey.
The newspaper "Hurriyyet" writes that "President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev named the Turkish-Azerbaijan Council for high level strategic cooperation the product uniting hearts, underlining that "relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan develop day by day. President Ilham Aliyev thanked Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for efforts in preparation and acceptance of this strategic document".
The newspaper "Zaman" regarded the document signed by the head of the Azerbaijan state and the Prime Minister of Turkey as an important step to strategic cooperation of our brotherly countries, and gave a wide place to statement of President Ilham Aliyev at signing ceremony.
The newspaper "Akhsham" underlined that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan with great respect met the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the reception arranged in honor of heads of the Turkish speaking states.
The newspaper "Yeni Shafak" has put in the forefront the statement by the President of Azerbaijan at press conference: "Turkey is a large state. Strengthening of Turkey will have positive influence on solution of the problem between Azerbaijan and Armenia".
The article of the newspaper published in English "Today's Zaman" states that the Council for high level strategic cooperation, initiated by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will coordinate activity of the governments of two countries. Turkey intends to play an active role in region, and strengthening of cooperation with Azerbaijan, with the strongest state of Southern Caucasus, will bring certain contribution to this plan."
And the newspaper "Star" writes that President Ilham Aliyev noted that brotherly relations and cooperation with Turkey, proceeding throughout centuries, last years have reached the highest level.
