Presidents of Dagestan and Ingushetia Republics of the Russian Federation Magomedsalam Magomedov and Yunus-Bek Yevkurov visited here the Tazapir Mosque.
They are accompanying the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims` Office Allahshukur Pashazade met the presidents of the North Caucasian republics. They praised Pashazade`s role in strengthening relations among the Caucasian peoples.
The Russian President's visit to Azerbaijan marks a new page in development of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, Magomedov said. He said that today the two countries "are intensifying mutually beneficial cultural and economic relations".
"We have long-standing, centuries-old friendly relations," Magomedov said.
