On November 3rd a Russian delegation led by deputy speaker of the Federation Council of Federal Assembly, co-chair of Azerbaijan-Russia Interparliamentary Commission Svetlana Orlova visited the Alley of Honors to lay flowers at the tomb of national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.
They also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
The Russian delegation also commemorated Muslum Magomayev, People`s Artist of USSR and Azerbaijan, and put flowers at his tomb.
They visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country's independence and territorial integrity.
