On Aug 23rd as part of the official visit to Mexico, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov met with the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico Mr Oscar Arce. The meeting was also attended by the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Mexico Ilgar Mukhtarov, MP Ayaz Orujov, members of Congress and representatives of the Mexican media.
President of the Chamber of Deputies Oscar Arce has recalled his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan in July during his visit to Baku. He said that his visit to Azerbaijan was a success and opened new prospects for future cooperation.
Expressing satisfaction with the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Mexico, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov shared his impressions on the opening of the Mexican-Azerbaijani Friendship Park, monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev and Tlakskoake - Khojaly square.
Referring to the military aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan and adoption of the resolution recognizing the fact of the Khojaly genocide by the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico in December 2011, Ali Hasanov expressed deep appreciation of the democratic and fair position of Mexican deputies on behalf of the Government of Azerbaijan.
The sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
The Azerbaijani delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov wrapped up the visit to Mexico.
