On April 19th visiting chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.
Volodymyr Lytvyn also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
The chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine visited the Alley of Martyrs to lay flowers at the graves of Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity. He also laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
Mr. Lytvyn enjoyed a panoramic view of the capital and was informed on redevelopment works in Azerbaijan`s capital Baku.
