Day of Azerbaijani youth marked in St.Petersburg

A report-back election conference of the regional branch of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AMOR), dedicated to the Day of Youth in Azerbaijan took place in St. Petersburg, Russia. 
The event was attended by about 250 representatives of the Azerbaijani youth living in St.Petersburg, AzerTAc quotes press service of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in St. Petersburg as saying.
A congratulatory letter on behalf of the Chair of AMOR Leyla Aliyeva was read at the event.
"Today AMOR is the most active youth organization outside Azerbaijan. It organizes various events, conferences, seminars, and realizes the humanitarian and cultural projects in all regions of Russia. AMOR not only unites the Azerbaijani youth, but also helps young people integrate into Russian society, contributes to the preservation of cultural identity away from home," the letter says.
Then, according to the agenda, the meeting discussed current issues. Student of the North-West Academy of Public Administration Ozal Rasulov was elected Head of the Regional branch of AMOR.
Consul General of Azerbaijan in St. Petersburg Gudsi Osmanov emphasized a special role of AMOR in promoting culture, traditions and customs of Azerbaijan.
The Head of the regional public organization "Vatan" Mazahir Hasanov urged the Azerbaijani youth to be more active in promoting the realities of Azerbaijan notably related to the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute, and to support Justice for Khojaly campaign.
