On December 23rd the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) and the People`s Democratic Party of Tajikistan signed a memorandum of understanding.
The document was signed by Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of YAP Ali Ahmadov and Deputy Chairman of the People`s Democratic Party Asror Latipov.
Ahmadov said Azerbaijan and Tajikistan enjoy historic relations.
After regaining their independence, relations between the two countries were steady developing.
The Executive Secretary of YAP underlined the high-level political dialogue and friendly relations between the heads of state, documents signed between the two countries open up new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
Deputy Chairman of YAP underlined expansion of cooperation between the parties would help strengthen relations between the states and peoples.
Ahmadov briefed Asror Latipov on Azerbaijan`s dynamic development and achievements.
He also spoke of activity of the New Azerbaijan Party and its foreign relations.
The Executive Secretary underscored YAP has close cooperation with world`s political parties.
Deputy chairman of the People`s Democratic Party Asror Latipov said Tajikistan was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan and its ruling party.
Asror Latipov stressed the MoU signed between the parties would serve deepening and developing friendly relations between the two countries` peoples even more.
They also discussed Azerbaijan-Tajikistan relations within CIS.
