Azerbaijani Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov met chief of Turkey`s academy of justice Huseyn Yildirim.
Mr. Mammadov told of successful reforms being implemented in the country`s judicial system, new judicial infrastructure, application of information-communication technologies. He praised relations established between the two states and the ministries of justice. He said Azerbaijan will take over positive experience of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) on election of judges. Azeri minister underlined 80 judges contenders had two-week trainings in Ankara and Istanbul.
The sides signed a working program on cooperation between the academies of justice of Azerbaijan and Turkey. The program envisages mutual support of judges, workers of prosecutor offices, justice and court system.
Huseyn Yildirim and his accompanied delegation also visited the Alley of Honors to revere a memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev as well as the Alley of Martyrs and monument to the Turkish soldiers.
The guests also participated in the international conference on judicial reforms in Azerbaijan, held meetings in the General Prosecutor Office, Supreme Court, Electoral Committee of Judges and the Baku State University.
