Film on Azerbaijan-Turkey relations presented in Baku

A documentary "Independent Azerbaijan" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of restoration of Azerbaijan`s independence and Azerbaijan-Turkey relations was presented in the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan on Thursday.
Addressing the ceremony, Turkish ambassador Hulusi Kilic touched on the rapid development of cooperation in all spheres between the fraternal countries.
"Election of Azerbaijan as a non-permanent member to the UN Security Council is a great success. Azerbaijan is a leading country in the region. Turkey always supports Azerbaijan and shares its experience in all spheres.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey totaled $3 billion in 2011 against $ 2, 5 billion in 2010,".
"Mustafa Kamal Ataturk said: "Joy of Azerbaijan is our joy and its grief is our grief", while Heydar Aliyev said: "Turkey and Azerbaijan are one nation and two states". These were challenges to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries," he added.
Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) delivered speech to the effect. Mr. Ahmadov provided information on Azerbaijan `s great path of development over the last 20 years of its independence. He also underlined the fraternal relations between the two countries and the reciprocal support.
The ceremony saw speeches by Azerbaijani parliamentarians Nizami Jafarov, Malahat Ibrahimgizi, Ganira Pashayeva and Jala Aliyeva.
