The Justice Academy of Azerbaijan hosted discussions on the situation of refugees and IDPs. The event was organized by the Azerbaijan Lawyers Confederation.
Pro-rector of Academy of Justice Ilham Abbasov briefed the attendees on the work done by the Azerbaijani government to improve living conditions of refugees and IDPs, international experience, cooperation with international organizations, particularly with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Attending the event, UNHCR Representative in Azerbaijan Dag Sigurdson spoke of activity of the Office in recent years.
Head of human rights and public relations department of Azerbaijan`s Justice Ministry Faig Gurbanov also addressed the event.
