First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva`s visit to Italy and Vatican hit headlines in local media.
The Cronaca di Roma newspaper published an article on Mehriban Aliyev`s meeting with spouse of Italian Premier Elsa Monti on December 2.
The article says First Lady of Azerbaijan who visited Italy to mark the 20th anniversary of cuntry`s regaining its independence conferred with Elsa Monti about education projects.
The newspaper provided information on the event held at the Roma opera building.
The popular roma.repubblica.it website posted the highlights of the First Lady`s visit to Italy and Vatican. It narrated on Mehriban Aliyeva`s meetings with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi and spouse of Italian Premier Elsa Monti.
The celebrative event to mark the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s independence held at the Roma Opera Theater was highlighted in the Tutta Roma newspaper. The newspaper also featured Mehriban Aliyeva`s speech at the event.
