On November 17th a presentation of the first edition of the English-language version of the "Baku" magazine took place at the museum of modern art.
The ceremony was attended by First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassadors, officials, MPs, ambassadors and figures of art.
Opening the event, editor-in-chief of the magazine Leyla Aliyeva noted that the magazine, which has been published in Russian during the past four years, has risen to prominence over a short span of time. The magazine publishes interesting stories on the history, culture, past and present of Azerbaijan.
"The aim of the English version of the magazine is to popularize Azerbaijan all over the world," she said.
The participants saw a video on Azerbaijan prepared by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The exhibition of photographs published in the magazine was organized as part of the presentation.
The first issue of the English version of the magazine is also scheduled to be presented in Paris, Rome, Berlin, New York. The presentation was already held in London and Moscow.
