The two-volume edition "Introduction to the geopolitics" was issued in "Azerbaijan" publishing house. The author of the book is a chief of the foreign relations department of Azerbaijan`s Presidential Administration, professor Novruz Mammadov. The book is one of the first editions in Azerbaijani language dedicated to all-round learning of geopolitics as a field of knowledge and object of its investigation - geopolitical structure of world. 
The author devoted his book to Heydar Aliyev, a great son of Azerbaijan, founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, genius political figure and statesman.
The first volume analyses the modern geopolitical theories and schools, modern atlantism, mondialism, new Euroasism, geopolitical studies of postmodernism epoch. The second volume is dedicated to the geopolitical processes.
Of great interest is the volume, which represents Azerbaijan in a modern regional geopolitical context. The readers will be also curious about part of the book, which deals with geopolitical aspects of Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The maps on topics were also included into the book. The two-volume edition "Introduction to the geopolitics" includes a vocabulary, names index, the literature in Azerbaijani, Turkish, English, French, German and Russian languages.
