Visiting chief of NGO section of the United Nations Secretariat of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Andrei Abramov held a meeting in the National Non-governmental Organisations Forum on Wednesday.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijan National Non-governmental Organizations Forum, the head of the forum Rauf Zeyni informed Andrei Abramov on the body`s activity, progress achieved and the state of civil society in Azerbaijan.
Attending the event, chairperson of the International Eurasia Press Fund Umud Rahimoglu and others shared their views on boosting cooperative relations with the United Nations.
In his turn, chief of ECOSOC NGO section provided information on NGOs` experience in Bangladesh, Brazil, Uruguay and other countries and the development of civil society.
Andrei Abramov highlighted the significance of expending cooperation in future stressing the membership of fife Azerbaijani NGOs to ECOSOC.
