Azerbaijani and Turkish justice ministers have discussed prospects for boosting legal cooperation between the two countries. Fikrat Mammadov and Sadullah Ergin met in Baku.
Mammadov praised the Azerbaijan-Turkey relations. He said reciprocal visits by the two countries` leaders played key role in developing and strengthening the bilateral ties.
The minister highlighted the legal reforms in Azerbaijan. He stressed the effectiveness of mutual cooperation with Turkey`s justice authorities.
Ergin praised Azerbaijan`s development, saying the country had become the regional leader. He praised the relations between the two countries, in particular in legal field.
The Turkish minister stressed the importance of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s recent visit to Izmir.
He also congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the country`s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
During his stay in Baku the Turkish minister will meet other senior Azerbaijani officials.
