On sideline of the Baku International Humanitarian Forum the 14th meeting of the Council of heads of the CIS state news agencies took place here at the Kempinski Hotel on October 10th. 
The meeting was attended by Aslan Aslanov, director general of AzerTAc, Vitaly Ignatenko, director general of ITAR-TASS, Boris Grishin, deputy editor-in-chief of ITAR-TASS for news service, Dmitry Zhuk, director general of BelTA, Mikhail Soroka, deputy director general of Ukrinform, Yarsolav Dovgopol, editor-in-chief of Ukrinform for foreign news, Halima Hkushgadamova, special representative of Tajikistan`s "khovar" Agency and Alexander Zavarzin, director of analytical information department of the CIS Executive Committee.
The agenda of the meeting included report on the CIS Information Council`s activity in the 20th jubilee of the commonwealth, joint photo exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of CIS, development plans of CIS`s internet portal.
Editor-in-chief for the AzerTAc Russian News Department Tamilla Nuriyeva reported on the course of contest being conducted on the topic "Preservation of historical-cultural heritage - the material and non-material cultural monuments".
