Visiting Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Alexander Khloponin visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of Heydar Aliyev, national leader of Azerbaijan.
Khloponin also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
Then, the Russian delegation visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity.
Khloponin laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
The delegation enjoyed a panoramic view of the capital.
