Azerbaijan`s Interior Minister Ramil Usubov visited the Azerbaijani cultural center named after Heydar Aliyev in Tashkent as part of his visit to Uzbekistan. He was accompanied by his Uzbek counterpart Bahadur Matlyubov. The ministers put flowers at the monument to Azerbaijan`s national leader.
Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Namiq Abbasov provided information about the cultural center. The guests familiarized themselves with Heydar Aliyev`s activity for the Azerbaijani statehood, and common Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan history museums in the center. Usubov also met with the representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora here.
Speaking to AzerTAc reporter, the Azerbaijani Minister said: "During my visit, I was sure again existence of high level relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and presidents Islam Karimov and Ilham Aliyev would contribute to further development of this cooperation". He also noted that historic ties of friendship exist between two nations.
