On September 12th Azerbaijan`s Interior Minister Ramil Usubov met here Uzbek Prosecutor General Rashid Kadirov.
The talks focused on a wide range of issues including cooperation in fight against terrorism, extremism and organized crime.
The Prosecutor General praised the level of cooperation between the law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. "First of all we must be grateful to national leader Heydar Aliyev and Uzbek President Islam Karimov for comprehensive development of our countries."
Kadirov added visits of President Islam Karimov to Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan contributed to boosting bilateral relationship even more.
Minister Usubov, in turn, said national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Islam Karimov made great contributions to ensuring stability in their countries. He also underlined the role of President Ilham Aliyev`s visit to Uzbekistan last year in development of bilateral cooperation.
Usubov also praised cooperation between law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Uzbekistan Namig Abbasov was present in the meeting.
