The major problem for investigating the causes of the Silkway air line`s IL-76 airplane crash is the mountainous terrain and clashes between local militants and Afghan military personnel, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Airlines, chairman of the special investigation commission Ilham Amirov told a news conference on Saturday.
The causes of the crash will be clear as soon as commission members reach the crash site and find a data recorder. Amirov stated photographs and video of the plane debris are false because no one managed to reach the area thus far. He confirmed the death of all crew members. Five members of the investigation commission are currently in Afghanistan. According to him, the main aim is to find a data recorder and bring bodies to Baku. To this end, Azerbaijan sent an aircraft, which is now in the Kabul airport. He pointed out the plane was most probably hit by Taliban forces. The cause of the crash will be announced after finding the data recorder.
Silkway President Zaur Akhundov said families of the dead will receive AZN 100,000 each.

The aircraft flying from Baku to Bagram took off July 5, at 21:26 local time from the Heydar Aliyev airport with 18 tons of cargo on board. Before flying to Bagram, the plane traveled to Kuwait without any trouble reported.
The plane was built in 2005 and underwent its latest full technical inspection in February, with a subsequent technical assessment in June.
