A Coordination Centre of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) on Eurasian region opened at the Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund meeting (SSPF).
The agreement to open the center in Azerbaijan was made at a Steering Committee meeting of the ISSA European network in Geneva in March, 2011.
ISSA Secretary General Hans-Horst Konkolewsky said that this center`s creation is important for implementing effective solutions to social problems and the region`s insurance pension system.
Note that, this event was held in the framework of the international seminar "Social protection of migrant workers and globalization" with the support of the SSPF, ISSA and the International Association of pension and insurance funds.
