5th General Assembly of the Black Sea Association of National News Agencies (BSANNA), hosted by AzerTAc, started in Baku.
The Assembly is to discuss questions of regulation of more effective cooperation among the national news agencies of member countries, use of new technologies in news release.
The Assembly, the key topic of which is "Innovative Development: Transparency and Modernization" is attended by heads and representatives of the national news agencies of member countries - Turkey, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and the Republic Macedonia.
In his opening remarks, Director General of AzerTAc Aslan Aslanov estimated carrying out of the 5th General Assembly of BSANNA in Baku as appreciation given to the activity of AzerTAc in this organization, and trust rendered to Agency. The Director General noted that BSANNA was founded in 2006 at the constituent conference in Kiev, and AzerTAc was one of the founders of BSANNA. Today, presidency in this authoritative media body from the GeoHotNews Agency of Georgia will pass to AzerTAc.
The head of socio-political department of the President Administration of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov underlined that BSANNA plays great role in coverage of the events occurring in political, economic, cultural, public life of the member countries of this organization. This organization is a body uniting efforts of national news agencies of these states for more effective use of information resources of the Black Sea countries.
The General Director of GeoHotNews Agency of Georgia, president of BSANNA Gocha Mirtskhulava in his remarks made a number of offers concerning improvement of work of the organization. Expansion of technical possibilities of BSANNA`s web resources, maintenance of administrative access of members of the organization to this site are necessary, Mirtskhulava stressed.
