On Monday President of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) James Hamilton met the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Zakir Garalov, who highlighted on the successful democratic reforms implemented in the country, using IAP standards that led to gaining positive image by Azerbaijan on world level, as a result of which, according to him, the international organizations are interested in cooperation with the country.
Prosecutor General Garalov said Azerbaijan effectively cooperates with numerous authoritative international structures, including the IAP that holds consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and unites over 100 world states.
IAP president expressed pleasure for close cooperation with Azerbaijan, praising the country`s initiatives, active contribution to the IAP initiatives.
The talk also revolved around measures in fighting corruption, effective meetings with the justice, prosecutor and other law enforcement bodies.
