A resolution on the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYFDC) was unanimously adopted at the 34th session of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Commission for Economic, Cultural and Social Affairs in Jeddah last week.
The commission discussed the documents included in agenda of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.
Secretary General of ICYFDC, Ambassador Elshad Isgandarov noted one of the important points of the resolution was dedicated to the International Campaign "Justice for Khojaly" as a part of the Program on "Commemoration Day on Humanitarian Tragedies in OIC Countries in 20th century".
The document called on the OIC member countries and institutions to strengthen their efforts toward the international recognition of the Khojaly massacre as a crime against humanity.
The resolution emphasized the role of the Forum in strengthening of youth role in the UN Alliance for Union of Civilizations, in establishing of Global Youth Movement for Union of Civilizations founded in Baku on April 9-11.
Isgandarov stressed the importance of the Global Youth Movement as the development of the movement founded in Baku on November, 2007 on the initiative of president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva, the Forum's activity toward the development of Muslim youth development, as well as cooperation between the Forum and leading international organizations for the prevention of Islamophobia.
