The Working Group on development of Convention on Caspian Legal Status ended its 28th meeting in Baku.
Positively estimating the results of meeting, deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov said "useful dialogues took place during the discussions. An official document has been adopted though there are several items not agreed yet".
Questions of sea surface usage, difference among the national zones, each state`s right on the sea, shipping and military activity are still not agreed, according to Khalafov.
Mr. Khalafov said the use of Caspian Sea's surface, differences between the national zones, rights of the states on the sea, as well as shipping and navy forces were among the uncoordinated issues.
Special Representative of the Iranian President for the Caspian issues Mohammad Mehdi Akhundzade said the USSR-Iran treaty on the legal status of the Caspian Sea would remain in force until the adoption of five-party convention.
Next meeting of the Working Group on development of Convention on the Caspian Legal Status will be held in Moscow.
