President and CEO of the Italian news agency AGI Daniela Viglione and Deputy Director General of Italy`s ANSA news agency Giulio Pecora who have come to Baku to take part in the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, visited the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzerTAc).
Director General of AzerTAc Aslan Aslanov addressing the meeting described the history and activity of the country`s official news agency founded in 1920. The Director General touched upon the achievements of Azerbaijan since national leader Heydar Aliyev`s coming to power again and rapid development of modern Azerbaijan led by the President Ilham Aliyev. The Director General highlighted the need for exchange of news between the agencies adding that in 2005 agreement on cooperation was signed between AzerTAc and ANSA and last year in December AzerTAc and AGI also sealed a cooperation agreement.
President and CEO of the Italian news agency AGI Daniela Viglione highly appreciated cooperation between AGI and AzerTAc. She highlighted the importance to organize reciprocal visits of both agencies` staff and training courses. Dwelling on the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue which opens in Baku tomorrow, Ms Viglione emphasized that implementation of such a significant event in Azerbaijan is and evidence of ever-growing prestige of the country.
Deputy Director General of Italy`s ANSA news agency Giulio Pecora highly valued achievements of AzerTAc and stressed the importance of developing cooperation between two agencies.
