The Azerbaijani armed forces prevented an attempt by an Armenian reconnaissance-raiding group to cross the line of contact in the early hours of July 15, Azerbaijan`s Defense Ministry said.

"The Armenian reconnaissance-raiding group attempted to cross the troops` line of contact in the direction of Gazakh region of the Azerbaijan-Armenian state border in the early hours of July 15. The units of the Azerbaijani armed forces showed vigilance to prevent provocation," a statement released by the ministry said. “The Armenian reconnaissance-raiding group was forced to retreat, suffering loses, one member of the group was captured. He introduced himself as Karen Kazaryan, born in 1984.”

The Azerbaijani army units suffered no loses, the ministry added.
