Presidents and senior officials of International and European Judo Federations visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
They were told the main goal of the Foundation, established in the memory of the Azerbaijani people`s national leader, is to study and popularize prominent political figure Heydar Aliyev`s rich heritage, give an idea to the future generations and foreign visitors about his large-scale activity to achieve Azerbaijan`s socio-economic, cultural progress, and assist projects promoting the country`s history and culture.
The Foundation performs huge projects, makes contribution to the realization of dreams of the national leader, who dedicated his honest life to the strengthening and popularization of his motherland, whose deep faith in statehood is a sample to generations. The guests familiarized themselves with pictures and exhibits covering leadership of the great leader in the Republic.
They viewed exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader and reflecting his childhood, youth, university years and career, pictures covering various moments of his life and giving a comprehensive idea of the whole history of Azerbaijan, books written on the national leader, gifts presented to him by world-famous political figures, photos taken with figures of science, culture and art, leaders of different countries.
The visitors were informed about national leader Heydar Aliyev`s care for development of sports in Azerbaijan and sportsmen who represent the country in international competitions successfully.
President of International Judo Federation Marius Viser signed the Haydar Aliyev Foundation`s guests book.
The guests were given Foundation`s keepsakes and they familiarized themselves with the exposition consisting of books, CDs, albums published by the Haydar Aliyev Foundation.
They also watched film "Moments of Great Life" on life and activities of the national leader.
