Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Brazil Elnur Sultanov presented his credentials to President Dilma Rousseff.
The ambassador extended President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s greetings to President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff.
He said that 20 years pass since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Brazil, and underlined Azerbaijan's interest to expand relations with Brazil.
Rousseff congratulated Sultanov on the opening of Azerbaijani Embassy in Brazil and expressed hope in successful development of cooperation between the two countries. He also asked the ambassador to pass on his greetings to the Azerbaijani President.
Brazilian Foreign Minister Antonio de Aguiar Patriota and Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of Brazil Marco Aurelio Garcia were also present at the ceremony.
