On November 3rd speaker of the Azerbaijan National Assembly, Ogtay Asadov a Russian delegation led by deputy speaker of the Federation Council of Federal Assembly, co-chair of Azerbaijan-Russia Interparliamentary Commission, Svetlana Orlova. 
Asadov said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to development of relationship with Russia. He noted expansion of relations between Azerbaijani and Russian legislative bodies serve interest of the two countries and peoples. The speaker also underlined the importance of reciprocal visits for exchange of experience and information. Asadov praised the results of the 10th meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission on cooperation between Azerbaijan`s National Assembly and Federal Assembly of Russia held in Baku.
Svetlana Orlova, in turn, expressed satisfaction with her visit to Azerbaijan and outcomes of the 10th meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission. She noted the discussions conducted at the 10th meeting showed that relations between Azerbaijan and Russia had strengthened. Orlova also stressed the role of parliaments in deepening bilateral relations. The deputy speaker expressed hope that more fruitful discussions would be held in meetings of the Interparliamentary Commission.
Deputy speaker of Azerbaijan National Assembly, co-chair of the Interparliamentary Commission Valeh Alasgarov, Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin were present in the meeting.
