President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on the measures regarding transportation of Azerbaijani natural gas to the world market via Southern Gas Corridor.
The President ordered the establishment of State Commission for full exploitation of Shahdeniz gas-condensate field, extension of South Caucasus Pipeline and implementation of TANAP (Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline) and TAP (Trans-Adriatic Pipeline) with the aim of ensuring the operation of Southern Gas Corridor for transportation of Azerbaijani gas to the world market.
First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov was elected chairman of the Commission, while Assistant of the President, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Ali Asadov, Minister of Energy Natig Aliyev, Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev, Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Huseyngulu Baghirov, President of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev, Executive Director of State Oil Fund Shahmar Huseynov were elected members of the Commission.
