Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order to give one-time financial assistance to participants of the Great Patriotic War, widows of the fighters who died during or after the war, persons awarded orders and medals for their selfless work in the rear.
Under the presidential order, veterans of the Great Patriotic War will be paid AZN 800.
A lump sum of AZN 400 will be paid to widows of the fighters who died during or after the war, persons awarded orders and medals for their selfless work in the rear, employees of special forces, persons who received medals and badges for the defense of Leningrad, and participants of the blockade of Leningrad.
A total of AZN 8.3 million has been allocated from the Contingency Fund of the President of Azerbaijan to this end.
