On March 14th President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a Romanian delegation led by President of the Chamber of Deputies Valeriu Zgonea.
The Head of State noted Azerbaijan and Romania enjoyed strong political relations.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that bilateral friendly and strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Romania would continue to expand in all fields.
The Azerbaijani leader stressed the importance of interparliamentary cooperation in strengthening relationship between the two countries.
The Head of State underlined the importance of the two countries` mutual support within international organizations.
President Ilham Aliyev said the Azerbaijani people have great respect for the Romanian people.
The President thanked Romania for supporting Azerbaijan on different issues.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that Valeriu Zgonea`s visit to Azerbaijan would be a success.
The President of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies noted the signing of a document on strategic partnership between the two countries contributed to the friendly relations.
Valeriu Zgonea hailed development of political, economic and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Romania, stressing the importance of interparliamentary cooperation in expansion of these ties.
They also discussed the Azerbaijan-Romania energy cooperation, investment making, as well as cooperation with international regional organizations, particularly European ones.
