On January 23rd Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met Cesare Mainardi, Chief Executive Officer of Booz&СO, a leading global management consulting firm, in Davos.
The Booz&СO CEO praised the Azerbaijani governmetn`s support of development of information and communication technologies in the country. He stressed the importance of Azerbaijan`s broadband Internet strategy and projects to create high-tech parks, and praised the fact that work had already began on this front.
President Ilham Aliyev said part of Azerbaijan`s oil revenues were being invested in developing high technologies. The Head of State noted the importance of the private sector`s role in the information and communication technologies field.
