On December 17th President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by the Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Bai Lichen.
The President spoke about friendly relations between Azerbaijan and China, hailed bilateral cooperation between the two states in various fields.
The Head of State emphasized that many Chinese companies have shown their interest in carrying out big projects in Azerbaijan’s different sectors. The President hailed Sino-Azerbaijani cooperation in energy sector adding there are good opportunities for cooperation in transport area as well.
President Ilham Aliyev said the visit of Chinese delegation led by Bai Lichen to Azerbaijan will contribute to the strengthening of the existing friendly relations between Azerbaijan and the People’s Republic of China.
Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Bai Lichen, in turn, extended Chinese President Hu Jintao’s and China’s Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping’s greetings to the President Ilham Aliyev.
He said great opportunities exist to expand bilateral relationship between the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev asked Bai Lichen to convey his greetings to Chinese President and General Secretary of the China’s Communist Party.
