On April 24th President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inspected expansion of polymer products plant in Sumgait Technologies Park (STP), inaugurated heavy machine-building and precise processing centers factories.
The Head of State was informed that consisting of 17 plants STP manufactures high quality products, including various types of cables, transformers, high voltage equipment, hydroturbines, water pumps, electrical engines, pipes, and technical gases.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed on a tower where high-voltage cable isolation lines would be built as part of the third stage of STP Cable factory construction. The construction of the tower started late 2009 and is expected to be completed till the end of the current year.
President Ilham Aliyev toured the area of the STP.
The Head of State inspected expansion of polymer products plant. The water and gas, sewerage as well as multi-layer polyethylene pipes with aluminum cover and other types of pipes are produced in the factory. The facility covers a total area of 2.8 hectares. It employs 400 people currently.

Azerbaijan`s President also inaugurated heavy machine building factory of STP.
The construction of the factory started in 2010. The facility with the total area of 4.5 hectares employs 900 people. It produces metal constructions and various parts for building electric stations. The factory will also repair engineering equipment in the future. An annual production capacity of the facility is 50,000 tones.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev opened STP`s precise processing centers factory. The factory consists of a workshop on the precise processing and making of the efficient details of the machinery mechanisms, arrangement field, processing field of the turbine equipments efficient parts and precise processing of the automobile efficient details.
The factory cooperates with Swedish and German companies.
The Head of State gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
