On April 13th President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev got acquainted here with AITF 2012 - the 11th Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair.
Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev informed the Head of State that AITF 2012 is attended by 201 companies from 32 countries covering 62 aspects of the tourism industry.
The exhibition is organized by the British company ITE Group plc and its partner, Iteca Caspian LLC. A Partner Country of the Fair is Turkey. The official airline of the event is Azerbaijan Airlines, AZAL. For the second consecutive year AITF is being sponsored by SW Travel. Pre-exhibition work involved ITE Group`s wide network of agents and partners form all over the world, including ITE (London), EUF (Turkey), GIMA (Germany) and ITE Gulf (Dubai).
As part of the exhibition, important meetings are held, new partnerships are formed and new tourism programmes, prices and destinations are announced.
Azerbaijani President was told that each year AITF`s list of participants grows with new exhibitors. Qatar, Poland, Vietnam, Slovakia and Croatia made their debuts at this year`s event. Among the participants there are the world`s leading airlines. Bulgaria participates as the Guest Country of the Fair. The intense interest from international participants can clearly seen by the World Tourism Organization`s joining the event.
A distinguishing feature of this year`s event is the topic of health and wellness tourism in recreational centers and health resorts, to which part of the exhibition is devoted. Bulgaria, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Russia and Ukraine are presenting their famous health resorts.
Azerbaijan`s stand features latest projects of travel companies, recreational areas and health centers of the country. The logo and motto of Eurovision 2012 song contest are reflected in expositions of local companies.
