President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received credentials of newly-appointed ambassador of Portugal Luisa Bastos de Almeida.
The Ambassador passed along the guard of honor.
Mrs. Almeida handed over her credentials to the Head of State.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the ambassador.
Portuguese Ambassador highlighted existence of great potential for development of relations between Azerbaijan and Portugal, adding the delegation including Portuguese businessmen accompanies her during the visit.
The Head of State underlined the importance of expanding cooperation between the two countries in various spheres. President Ilham Aliyev expressed assurance for deepening of these ties during Mrs. Almeida`s tenure.
