Following the one-on-one meeting, presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan met in presence of delegations.
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said reciprocal visits of the two countries` leaders were indicator of good relations between the heads of state and both nations.
The Kazakh leader said they discussed all aspects of mutual relationship between the countries.
Nazarbayev underlined the presidents also exchanged views on economic, transport, agriculture and international cooperation.
The Kazakh President underscored Azerbaijan chad elebrated the 20th anniversary of independence recently, adding Kazakhstan would also celebrate the 20th anniversary of independence in December.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev said Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan were brotherly and friendly countries.
"We regard Azerbaijan the main partner of Kazakhstan in the Caucasus," the Kazakh leader added.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev thanked the Kazakh counterpart for a warm welcome.
The Azerbaijani leader congratulated the Kazakh President and friendly people of Kazakhstan on the forthcoming holiday.
President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on the successes of Kazakhstan gained under his leadership.
The Head of State said Kazakhstan were dynamically developing under Nazarbayev`s leadership.
President Ilham Aliyev underlined Kazakhstan has always been a friendly and brotherly country for Azerbaijan, adding these relations strengthened even more during the two countries` independence years.
"Economy, transport and agriculture projects, which we have discussed today, would create opportunities to use our potential for strengthening our bilateral cooperation," the Azerbaijani leader added.
