President Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the cold-storage warehouse complex for fruit sorting and storing, constructed by IKAR-S LLC here.
The President was told that according to the State Program on Reliable Provision of the Population with Foodstuffs in 2008-2015, National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support (NFES) of Azerbaijan funds the construction of 32 cold-storage warehouses in the regions of the country. Of them 18 have been completed and implementation of remaining projects is underway.
The Head of State familiarized himself with the apple garden in the area of the complex. He was told that area of the apple gardens in the region reached to 72 hectare in 2011.
The President got acquainted with the facilities at the warehouse. The complex includes German-made cooling systems, Dutch-made ULO systems, cold-storage warehouse with a capacity of 6000 tons and laboratory. The complex will employ 54 people.
The Head of State gave relevant recommendations and instructions.
