President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev became acquainted with the capital repair and reconstruction work carried out in secondary schools in Sabunchu, Nizami, Surakhani, Nasimi and Garadag districts in Baku on September 14th.
In accordance with a State Program on socio-economic development of Baku and its districts in 2011-2013, major overhaul and reconstruction of secondary schools of the capital is underway.
First, President Ilham Aliyev became familiar with the reconstruction work carried out in the secondary school No170 in Sabunchu district.
The Head of State was told the first building of the school was constructed in 1928. At present, a total of 900 pupils are receiving education at the school which covers 1425 square meters. The major overhaul and reconstruction work carried out here meets modern standards.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev became acquainted with the repair and reconstruction work done in the secondary school No61 named after Kamil Aliyev in Nizami district.
The Head of State was informed the work done here. The President was told the building of the school was constructed in 1965. The school covers 4030 square meters. A total of 650 pupils are getting education in the school.

The Head of State also familiarized himself with the secondary school No285 named after Bunyadali Qulamoglu in Surakhani district. The President was informed about the reconstruction work done here. He was told the building of the school was constructed in 1990. The school has been provided with necessary equipments.

The same day, President Ilham Aliyev became acquainted with the major overhaul and reconstruction work carried out in the secondary school No44 in Nasimi district.
The Head of State was told repair and reconstruction work in the school meets modern standards. The school has been equipped with necessary equipments. Modern heating system has been installed in the school.

The Head of State also became familiar with the reconstruction work in the secondary school No139 in Lokbatan settlement in Qaradag district. The President was told the first building of the school was constructed in 1957. In accordance with the State Program, 16 additional classrooms and a canteen was built in the school. The school covers 3000 square meters.
President Ilham Aliyev was also informed of the works done in inter-settlement roads in Lokbatan.
The Head of State was told that 173 600 square meters of the inter-settlement roads were paved with new asphalt. Modern lighting system has been installed in the inter-settlement roads.
