President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev become acquainted with a modern grain warehouse complex in Qobustan.
The Head of State viewed the warehouse`s scheme.
In accordance with the State Program on reliable food supply of population in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2008-2015s, the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support of the Economic Development Ministry allocated AZN21, 4 million of credit for construction of 17 grain warehouses. This project has already been implemented.
The Fund had allocated AZN700 thousand for the construction of the warehouse complex in Qobustan.
The construction of the complex, consisting of 4 warehouses, started in January 2010 and completed in September 2011.
The implementation of this project would contribute to increasing the corn production in the country. More than 40 thousand tons of corn was produced in Qobustan in 2011.
Reconstruction works have been carried out around the warehouse.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the work done here and gave instructions and recommendations.
