President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received President of the International Weightlifting Federation Tamas Ayan on Friday.
Ayan praised conditions created for development of weightlifting in Azerbaijan. He congratulated the Head of State on the successes of Azerbaijani athletes in the first Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.
The Head of State underlined sports are rapidly developing in the country. He described successes of Azerbaijani athletes in the 2010 Youth Olympic Games as a result of the state-level support to sports in the country. President Ilham Aliyev noted there is good potential for development of weightlifting in the country.
