On April 29th President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva familiarized themselves with exhibitions "AITF 2011" 10th Azerbaijan International Tourism and Travel Fair and 2nd Azerbaijan Domestic Tourism Exhibition.
Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev informed the President that AITF welcomes 230 companies from 24 countries, presenting 61 tourism destinations.
The Head of State was told the 2nd Azerbaijan Domestic Tourism Exhibition features 83 companies from 15 regions.
The supporter of the event is the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, while ITE Group plc and Iteca Caspian are co-organizers.
The country partner of AITF is Turkey, while the official Airline is AZAL.
The exhibition features national stands of Turkey, Egypt, Georgia, Russia, Dagestan Republic of Russian Federation, the Czech Republic, Greece and India.
President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva viewed the stands reflecting tourism potential of Azerbaijan`s various regions and foreign countries.
The Head of State and Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva were informed about favorable tourism opportunities of the country`s regions and foreign countries.
