Azerbaijan Business Center has opened in the city of Astrakhan, the Russian Federation.

A delegation led by Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR) Leyla Aliyeva attended the event.

Prior to the ceremony, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, Governor of Astrakhan region Alexander Zhilkin, and members of the Azerbaijani delegation visited the Heydar Aliyev park in Astrakhan to lay flowers at a monument to the national leader.

Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva met with the city residents in the park.

The children having a rest in the park were presented with keepsakes on behalf of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva then met with the Governor of Astrakhan region Alexander Zhilkin. 

Governor Zhilkin hailed the excellent relations between Azerbaijan and Astrakhan region.

Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva extended Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s greetings and best wishes to Governor Alexander Zhilkin. She praised Astrakhan’s contribution to the development of Azerbaijan-Russia relations. Leyla Aliyeva invited Alexander Zhilkin to pay a visit to Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani President’s Assistant on Public and Political Affairs Ali Hasanov thanked the Governor of Astrakhan for the hospitality shown to the delegation. He described Azerbaijan-Russia relations as strategic. The Presidential Assistant pointed to the important projects supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Astrakhan. He expressed his hope that this cooperation will continue expanding.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu noted that the 95th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev has recently been marked in Azerbaijan and Russia.

Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev hailed the overall development of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. The minister noted that the new Business Center will contribute to further development of bilateral ties.

Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Center Anar Alakbarov, Head of the department of youth policy and sport issues at the Azerbaijani President`s Administration Yusuf Mammadaliyev, chairman of Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov, head of the Narimanov district Executive Authority Abdin Farzaliyev also attended the meeting.

The inauguration of the Azerbaijan Business Center then was held.

Addressing the event, Governor of Astrakhan region Alexander Zhilkin described the opening of the Center as a landmark event for the city.

Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Governor of Astrakhan region Alexander Zhilkin then cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Center.
