As part of his visit to Sabirabad district, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a 205-bed district central hospital.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the hospital.

Minister of Health Ogtay Shiraliyev informed the head of state that the hospital was built in the 1970s. The hospital occupies a total area of 4.77 hectares. A hospital complex consisting of three four-storey buildings was built on a 1.2 hectare area. The construction of the hospital`s new building started in 2012, and ended in October, 2017.

The hospital will employ 553 medical workers, including 70 doctors. The hospital was supplied with the state-of-the-art medical equipment and devices.

President Ilham Aliyev then met with representatives of the district`s general public and the hospital staff.

Doctor Elmira Zeynalova and farmer Fatma Huseynova thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his attention and care.
